DV 2023 Diversity Visa (Green Card) Lottery Program
The Department of State has published the particulars of the 2023 Diversity Visa (Green Card) Lottery Program. Applicants must submit entries for the DV-2023 program electronically at dvprogram.state.gov between noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4), Wednesday, October 6, 2021, and noon, Eastern Standard Time (EST) (GMT-5), Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Individuals who submit more than one entry during the registration period will be disqualified.
Each applicant must meet the minimum criteria listed in the instructions and submit a timely on-line application along with a 1in x 1.38 in color photo (22mm x 35mm) (passport size) during the application period. Also, the principal entrant only, must submit the passport number, country of issuance, and expiration date for the principal entrant’s valid, unexpired international travel passport. You must enter valid international travel passport information unless you are stateless.
For DV-2023, natives of the following countries are not eligible to apply, because more than 50,000 natives of these countries immigrated to the United States in the previous five years:
Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, China (including Hong Kong SAR), Colombia, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, India, Jamaica, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, United Kingdom (except Northern Ireland) and its dependent territories, and Vietnam.
